Block, block and more block
Im wondering if anyone could tell me the answer to this.
Guildwiki says that blocking stacks up multiplicately so if a player has 2 50% block chance effects on them they have a 75% block chance. What would happen if i gave a player who had 75% block chance from a stance for example an extra 50% block chance, would he have 100% block chance and block everything, or is there a hardcap to the amount of total block chance you can get. |

The way I understand this is as follows
1: You give the 75% chance from a stance 2; This fails (25% chance) 3: The 50% chance kicks in against the 25% fail rate (ie has a 12.5% chance of blocking) Total chance of blocking is therefore 87.5% |

Silz is right. So technically 100% block is unreachable unless one source is giving you 100%.
But the odds that a blinded wammo hit a ranger using whirling defense are low: .10 (blind)*0.25 (hit throught whirling)=2.5% |

I recall reading somewhere that when running, any attack that hits you from behind will be critical. Maybe it also affects the probability of evade/block?

Warriors and Rangers don't have exellent skills to get through blocking. They have skills for it, but those are far from exellent. Actually they're all pretty baed.
And crits don't affect block rate afaik. |
